Felix Byaruhanga (Founder of Skyline Media UG, and The Tribe UG) and Brian Kakembo (Founder of Weye Clean Energy Co. Ltd) made it to the FORBES Africa 30 UNDER 30 list of 2021.

FORBES AFRICA released its annual 30 Under 30 list showcasing the continent’s talent pipeline on 1st June 2021.

It marks the seventh edition of the list featuring Africans under the age of 30 who are innovative entrepreneurs, tech geeks, sports stars and influential creatives leading a pandemic-hit Africa.

The likes of Sasha Vybz, Kemiyondo Coutinho, Kevin Lubega, Nataliey Bitature, Stacey Gillian Abe, Patricia Apolot, Jacob Kiplimo, Jean Namayega Sseninde, Shamim Nabuuma Kaliisa, among others have featured on the list in past years.

This year, the list marks a historic turn as many businesses and brands were adversely affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

The names that appear are of candidates whose resourcefulness and resilience in rebuilding and contributing to the African growth story stood out above the others.

“The FORBES AFRICA 30 Under 30 list is our most coveted list of the year, and what makes this year’s compilation even more compelling is the fighting spirit of the candidates who made it through a turbulent year,” noted Renuka Methil, the Managing Editor of FORBES AFRICA.

Two Ugandans; Felix Byaruhanga and Brian Kakembo represented Uganda on the coveted list.

Brain Kakembo Galabuzi

Felix Byaruhanga a.k.a The Ninja Felix is the Founder of Skyline Media, The Tribe UG, and Twambale, was elated by his inclusion on the list.

The Tribe U.G is a Clothing Company that prints t.shirts, handles promotion of events and brand developing. They are also organisers of the MTN UG Hip-Hop Awards.

Through Twitter, he thanked partners, client, sponsors, and all other creatives that have made it possible for him to excel over the years.

Brian Kakembo Galabuzi is the Founder & Executive Director of WEYE Clean Energy Company Ltd, Manufacturers of Kyoto eco-briquettes and institutional briquette stoves and ovens.

WEYE also runs the Waste to Energy Youth Project, aimed at training youth to lead the clean energy transition in Uganda, East Africa and Africa.

Kakembo is an inspirational entrepreneur and environmental activist and a 2020 Commonwealth Young Person of the Year Awardee.
