Allan Hendrik Paper Daddy returns from an 8 months music break with new visuals of his new Reggae song dubbed “We’re Tired”.
“He is lurking in his father’s shadow,” is a comment Allan Hendrik must be tired of by now but in his new song, he speaks about everyone else’s troubles.
The sweet Reggae song might help him (keyword ‘might’) solve his own problem, but it will also be the song of hope for many other Ugandans especially in this lockdown period.
Produced by Vad Beats, the new song sang in Patois tickles your eardrum straight from the introduction. Hendrik’s voice matched with the beats give an instant eargasm.
Your mind is then triggered to listen to what exactly is being sang and what message is being preached and, if you’re a Ugandan stuck at home, you will most definitely relate.
Hendrik has always differed from his father’s opinion on politics and ‘We’re Tired’ could be politicised as a song for the oppressed.
According to Hendrik, it is a song for hope and positivity. “Take the good out of the situations you may face, I think 2020 and 2021 came to teach us that,” he says.
The visuals directed by Elly Workz gives a clear vision of Uganda’s state in relation to what the message embedded in the lyrics.
The coloring done by Ace Daniels gives the eye an easy feel, enabling you to catch all the scenes comfortably.
