Mudra says Karole Kasita used to delay payments for the song he wrote for her and sometimes she just would not even pay him at all.
Formerly a songwriter, Alfa Sebunya popularly known as Mudra used to write songs for a couple of stars including Cindy Sanyu and Karole Kasita.
He acknowledged Karole’s song ‘Yaka’ being one of his breakthrough tracks as a writer and applauds her talents.
He is, however, still bitter about the delayed payments she used to frustrate him whenever they worked together and claims it is something that forced him out of songwriting for other artists.

“I won’t lie, she used to pay me really slowly but she was making good money. In my life, I’m not after the credit. I’m after what I get, if we agree on a price, give it to me in time. But she used to take a long time to pay,” Mudra told Mr. Henrie in a sitdown interview.
“We reached a point of begging for our payment yet she would shoot videos for over Shs10m but they would pay us the writers very late.
“For the song she did with Fik (Fameica), Karole did not pay me but I’m a grown man, so I can leave it. I’m a king and I respect her because she’s a mother. These are some of the things that made me hate writing and I left it. I now only write for the people I want.”
