It’ss all joy in Raymond Malinga’s camp as short film, A Kalabanda Ate My Home Work, scooped the Best Creatures Animation award at Africa International Film Festival – AFRIFF held in Lagos, Nigeria.

A Kalabanda Ate My Homework is considered to be Uganda’s best short animation movie that Ugandans have ever produced to the world.

This year only, the movie has received several nominations from several International awards.

The short film clearly expresses a mythical story about a mythical creature known as ‘Kalabanda’ which is rumored to have given pupils sleepless nights for long.

The story shows that one day, a pupil (Tendo) shows up to class without homework, claiming that the ‘Kalabanda’ ate it and that obviously sounds hilarious and funny to any teacher.

The movie was written and directed by two blood brothers Raymond and Robin Malinga and it took them close to three years putting it together to pull off such a magnificent animation.

Congratulations upon the victory. We wish you more success and we hope you can bring more awards home in the several other awards in which you are nominated.
