With a BET Award and over 22 million views on YouTube, ‘Sitya Loss’ is Eddy Kenzo’s most precious baby and it only keeps soaring with each day that goes by.
Eddy Kenzo won the Viewer’s Choice Best New International Artist award at the 2015 BET awards for his song ‘Sitya Loss’. Since then, he has never looked back.
International recognition came in handy with several media houses picking up on his ‘grass to grace’ life story following his win at the BET Awards.
Celebrities like P. Diddy, Akon, French Montana, Henhouse Prowlers, Ronaldinho, Emmanuel Adebayor, Victor Wanyama, among others endorsed the song, giving a boost to his brand.
Several remixes, remakes, and covers have since been released from several parts of the world including South America, Europe, and the Caribbean.
The latest version titled ‘Ella Baila’ comes from Maffio, a record producer, multi-instrumentalist, and recording artist from the Dominican Republic.
He features an American deejay DJ Buddha and Angella Hunte, an American-Trinidad singer and producer who contributed to Alicia Keys and Jay Z’s ‘Empire State Of Mind’.
The question that remains is if Kenzo will ever have another project like ‘Sitya Loss’. The easier answer would be ‘NO’ but there’s more magic from where it came before.
For now however, he can enjoy all the glory for as long as it lasts. He’s the boss!
