The police has confirmed that it is in pursuit of singer Winnie Nakanwagi a.k.a Winnie Nwagi after a case was filed by her maid accusing her of assault and malicious damage of property.
While appearing on Sanyuka TV, the maid revealed that Swangz Avenue songstress Winnie Nwagi beat her severely because she took her water bottle without her permission.
The maid further revealed that Winnie and her friends smoke all types of weed as they sit to watch television and only keep piling her with tasks on top of paying her only Shs 100,000.
Speaking to the media, Kampala Metropolitan Police deputy spokesperson Mr. Luke Owoyesigyire revealed that the case has been reported at the Kikaaya Police Station located near the Bahai Temple.
The case file that has been opened with us is about a woman who came claiming to be a maid of Winnie Nakanwagi’s whom she accuses of beating her severely and throwing her property out of the house, some of which have been damaged.

Mr. Owoyesigyire further revealed that the cases which have been opened and consequently approved for investigations are assault, and malicious damage of property.
He however notes that the police has not yet received a statement from Winnie Nwagi but confirms that he is aware of the misunderstanding that might have occurred between the songstress and her maid.
