Swangz Avenue to release Azawi in January 2020

On January 6th 2020, Swangz Avenue will officially release Azawi’s very first song since being signed to the record label on November 1st 2019.

For the past ten years, the Ugandan music industry has been blessed with many talented artistes who have been nurtured and exposed by Swangz Avenue.

Many have come and gone, through the hands of Benon Mugumbya and Julius Kyazze and Azawi is the new bomb yet to explode onto the big scene.

Historically, Swangz takes 6 months and more to prepare their artists before they are released but Azawi seems to be coming out sooner than expected. On Azawi’s new social pages, it has been posted that a new single titled ‘Quinamino’ will be coming on 6th January 2020.

When being revealed in November, Swangz called the artist Zawie but they seem to have Africanized the name further to Azawi. All her social media pages and artwork are now labeled Azawi.

We are not aware of the style of music Azawi will be doing and we have to wait up to 6th January to find out. Our sources at the industrial area-based label mentioned to us that she will be placed between Winnie Nwagi and Vinka in terms of style given her ability to sing different styles.

We can’t wait to witness what a talent she has been tipped to be!
