Gospel musicians Sam Lucas Lubyogo, better known as Levixone, and Gabie Ntaate emerged as top victors at the Sauti Awards USA.

Gabie Ntaate and Levixone managed to topple their fellow gospel musicians from different African countries as the former won the Best Female Artist of the Year whereas Levixone took home the accolade for Best Male Artist of the Year.

Gabie Ntaate won the gong after beating six renowned continental gospel competitors for the crown including Dr Sarah K, Rehema Simfukwe, Bella Kombo, Evelyn Wanjiru, Rose Muhando, Celestine Donkor, among others.

On the other hand, Levixone also saw off six competitors to win the accolade including; Guardian Angel Global, Moji Short Babaa, Dr Ipyana, Minister Paul Clement, Israel Mbonyi, and Alka Mbumba.

The Sauti Awards are a USA-based award show that honors excellence in the African gospel recording industry.

Levixone and Gabie Ntaate’s victories have furthermore shown that the Ugandan gospel music industry can still compete favorably on the continent and worldwide.
